For—put them side by side—

The one the other will contain

With ease—and you—beside—

Georgina Cama Lee, MBA, MS

Programmer

Georgina Cama Lee is an industrial engineer with an MBA and a Master's in Quality Systems Engineering from Concordia University. She started her career in IT, where she developed software and optimized processes to improve service quality in the financial sector. After a personal health journey, she was inspired to support individuals impacted by cancer and lymphedema. She began volunteering, gaining deep knowledge in cancer care and developing a compassionate approach.

Now, as a programmer in the Cancer Research Program and CERES lab, she applies her engineering background and healthcare experience. Her area of interest focuses on improving the access, processes, and quality of service in cancer supportive care.

Outside of work, Georgina is a passionate dragon boater who loves the sport for its emphasis on teamwork, resilience, and staying active on the water. She'll tell you dragon boating is a lot like line dancing on water, for a team to be successful, every paddler must be in sync.

Cassandra Jones, Mac

PhD Student

Ph.D. Candidate in Integrated Studies in Education, McGill University under the supervision of Dr. Justin Sanders and Dr. Claudia Mitchell), MSc in Medical Anthropology, University of Oxford, B.A. in Anthropology (major) and Sociology (minor)

Dissertation topic: My Ph.D. research is a sensory ethnographic study on sensory and phenomenological experiences in palliative care, investigating the sensory environment, sensory care and therapies, as well as the relational environment of the (un)therapeutic landscape. Research findings will inform designing healthcare environments and medical education curriculum.

Research interests: My research focuses on the design of healthcare environments that create therapeutic landscapes for patients, informal caregivers, and healthcare professionals. I explore how the physical, sensory, and relational qualities of care spaces influence well-being, and how humanistic, evidence-informed research can promote comfort, dignity, and meaningful connection. I am also dedicated to advancing healthcare education and training for learners and professionals, ensuring that the built environment supports compassionate, person-centered care across settings. In the community context, my interests include fostering death literacy and encouraging serious illness conversations to enhance well-being across the life course.

-Qualitative health research, Palliative Medicine, Healthcare education, Medical anthropology (biocultural and evolutionary perspectives), Sensory ethnography, Arts-based research/ Poetic inquiry, Narrative medicine, Relationship-centered care.
